Welcome back to Collider's recap show for The Flash. Join John Rocha, Kaori Takee, David Griffin, and Wend Lee as they review season 2, episode 7, entitled 'Gorilla Warfare.'

Things around Central City are getting hairy with the appearance of Gorilla Grodd and his powerful mind controlling abilities. With Barry confined to a wheelchair after his devastating encounter with Zoom last week, the rest of Team Flash needs to step up in order to save the city. While this was primarily a strong episode, there were some moments the recap show felt were out of place.

Barry’s budding relationship with Patty Spivot has been a high point for most of this second season, but tonight her appearances felt forced. It was almost as if the creators were making sure the viewers don’t forget about Joe’s lovely new partner. She is constantly being lied to, so it will be interesting to see when she decides that Barry’s charm isn’t enough to win her over when the next catastrophe strikes.

On the upside, all things Grodd were brilliantly executed this week. The special effects were fantastic, and even Caitlin’s fashion choices were perfect. When Grodd captures her, she is wearing an outfit similar to the one Naomi Watts wore in Peter Jackson’s King Kong film back in 2005. A priceless homage if there ever was one.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Danielle Panabaker, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Jesse L. Martin, Shantel VanSenten, John Wesley Shipp, and Tom Cavanaugh.
