Welcome back to Collider’s recap show for The Flash. Join John Campea, David Griffin, Kaori Takee, and John Rocha as they review season 2, episode 9, entitled ‘Running to Stand Still.’

Last week’s thrilling crossover episode with Team Arrow proved why superhero team-ups are so fun to watch, but what about the villains? One of the most iconic villains from The Flash’s rogues gallery returns in the form of The Trickster, played by the legendary Mark Hamill. He wants death and chaos for his presents this year and he’ll stop at nothing to get them.

Weather Wizard (Liam McIntyre) and fan favorite Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) round out the team of rouges with Cold literally getting “cold feet” about killing a man he’s learned to work with. In an unexpected event, The Captain visits Barry at home and warns him of the impeding attack. Even without Cold on their side, Mardon and Jesse are more than a match for The Flash as they hide bombs in hundreds of children’s presents.

The other interesting aspect from this week’s episode was the presence of Zoom negotiating with Harrison Wells for the release of his daughter. The menacing darkly clad speedster reveals his plans for Barry, but we’re still unsure what his end game will be. Find out what the recap team had to say about these revelations and more in tonight’s show.

Series Synopsis: Barry Allen wakes up 9 months after he was struck by lightning and discovers that the bolt gave him the power of super speed. With his new team and powers, Barry becomes “The Flash” and fights crime in Central City.
