I'm not really sure who the audience for The Forger is at this point. This trailer is nice enough I guess, but it skirts the line between being a hard crime film and a family friendly affair so often that I'm wondering if either one of those audiences will be enticed to see the movie. John Travolta stars in the film as an ex-con, out on early release, who owes the crime syndicate who sprung him from jail one last job (it's always that one last job that gets you). He decides to bring his ailing son (Tye Sheridan) and his father (Christopher Plummer) along for the ride.
