With just about three months to go until the May 1st release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Empire is highlighting the film in its March issue with extensive coverage as well as two Avengers: Age of Ultron covers. Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Quicksilver, (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) all grace the cover of the standard edition and then Ultron (James Spader) is front and center on the subscriber version.
We’ve got a handful of stories from the Empire report on the way, but for now, here’s what director Joss Whedon had to say about his fondness for Ultron:
“I’ve been working on a lot of Ultron scenes, so I’m very anti-Avengers right now. You can’t write someone if you don’t love them and I’ve come to the conclusion that Ultron is right. The Avengers need to die.”
