With The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 Digital HD release coming up, Lionsgate started dropping clips from the DVD and Blu-ray special features menu so we’ve got a whole bunch of great footage to share. There are two deleted scenes, one featuring a conversation between Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) and another revealing a never-before-seen moment with Katniss and Effie (Elizabeth Banks), and while both are perfectly fine scenes, it’s clear that they weren't necessarily vital to the story.

If you’re looking for some behind-the-scenes footage, there’s one video of Sam Claflin walking around in his underwear and another of Lawrence trying to predict how high they can go up in a Hovercraft before the fall would kill them, but the standout is definitely the video of Natalie Dormer getting her head shaved to play Cressida, the director of Katniss’ propo shoots.

You can check out both The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 deleted scenes and the three behind-the-scenes clips below. The film arrives on Digital HD on February 17th and then hits DVD and Blu-ray on March 6th.

Here’s the official synopsis of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1:

Based on the best-selling third novel of Suzanne Collins’ award-winning trilogy, with a screenplay by Peter Craig (The Town) and Danny Strong (Lee Daniels’ The Butler) and directed by Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 reveals that the rebellion is growing. Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived and is recovering from the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell deep inside the bunkered catacombs of District 13. Separated from some of her closest allies and fearing for their safety in the Capitol, Katniss finally agrees to be the Mockingjay, the symbolic leader of the rebellion. Still uncertain as to whom she can trust, Katniss must help District 13 rise from the shadows, all the while knowing that President Snow has focused his hatred into a personal vendetta against her—and her loved ones.
