Last year, Brad Bird’s The Iron Giant returned to theaters with a Signature Edition that included additional scenes. Now, the remastered version of the film will be coming to Blu-ray on September 6th, along with Ultimate Collectors Edition.

Within the Signature Edition Blu-ray will be copies of both the Signature Edition and an hi-def version of the original theatrical cut. In addition to director’s commentary on the theatrical cut, an alternate opening, and other bonus content, a documentary titled “The Giant’s Dream” chronicles the making of The Iron Giant. Here’s a description of the documentary from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment:

“The Giant’s Dream” is the dramatic story about a rare moment in movie history that allowed a first-time director to make one of the world’s greatest animated films, “The Iron Giant.” Using stylized animatics, archival footage, original concept art, and revealing interviews, The Giant’s Dreamcharts the incredible ups and downs, industry firsts, and amazing history behind this iconic film, and its rebel director, Brad Bird.

The suggested retail price of the Signature Edition is $14.99, while the Ultimate Collectors Edition is $74.99. The jump in price can be attributed to the hardcover art book on the film, the collectible Mondo art cards, the 4-inch plastic articulated Iron Giant statue, and the personal letter from Bird that comes with the latter.

Voice actor Vin Diesel teased the possibility of a sequel, but this seems like a better deal. Here’s a breakdown of the special features:
