HBO’s spring season began in earnest tonight with the premieres of Game of Thrones and Silicon Valley, which gave the network the opportunity to start promoting what they have coming up this summer.  Last week, they provided the teaser trailer for the final season of True Blood, and tonight they debuted the first teaser for Damon Lindelof’s adaptation of Tom Perrotta’s novel The Leftovers.  The story takes place after the Rapture, centering on the people in a small town that didn’t make the cut.  This teaser starts out like it could be for a cell phone commercial even though HBO doesn’t run ads for anything other than HBO programming.  But for people who are only going to see this online, the teaser has a nice twist at the end, and I’m definitely excited for what this show has to offer.
