Those unfamiliar with anything but the title may be automatically wary of The LEGO Movie, but this latest featurette for the film does its darndest to get across the very specific—and fantastic—sense of humor of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller.  Instead of having the actors sit and talk about voicing their characters, this nearly four-minute featurette is entirely animated and features each character talking a bit about the film and which “actors” are portraying them.  It’s wonderfully goofy, and if you’ve ever wanted to test out the hypothesis that Morgan Freeman could make even the phonebook sound interesting, this is your chance.  We also get a look at some of the colorful new LEGO worlds that the film explores, so it’s definitely worth a watch.  Additionally, the original song "Everything Is Awesome" by Tegan & Sara and The Lonely Island has been released in its entirety, and it makes a swell earworm for the day.

Here’s the official synopsis for The LEGO Movie:

The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

Chris Pratt (“Moneyball”) stars as the voice of Emmet. Will Ferrell (“The Campaign”) stars as the voice of his primary adversary, President Business, an erudite, anal-retentive CEO who has a hard time balancing world domination with micro-managing his own life; while Liam Neeson (“Taken” and “Taken 2,” Oscar nominee for “Schindler’s List”) voices the president’s powerful henchman, known as Bad Cop, who will stop at nothing to catch Emmet.
