Disney has sent over 3 new clips from The Muppets.  In the movie, Gary (Jason Segel), Mary (Amy Adams), and new character Walter seek to reunite the Muppets to raise $10 million to save the Muppet Theater from nefarious oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper).

I caught a screening last night and while I’m embargoed from saying too much, I’m hoping Disney won’t be mad when I tell you that The Muppets was everything I hoped it would be and more.  It’s one of my favorite films of the year and it not only made me laugh, it also made me cry.  If you were nervous about the movie…don’t be.  It’s a huge home run.  The Muppets opens November 23rd.  Circle your calendars.  Hit the jump for the clips and look for new interviews with the cast soon.

Official synopsis for The Muppets:

On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino house band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.

  1. it was boring, extremely childish and nothing was special, they should’ve done something interesting at least, like the return of the masked man ( Mysterio ) or Kane

  2. According to always reliable Wikipedia, The Muppets has a two hour runtime. Can anyone who has screened the movie confirm or deny that.

I would be thrilled to have a decent lengthed muppet movie. Especially if the rest of the movie is as good as these clips!
