Following the red band debut, Sony Pictures has now released a green band version of the trailer for writer-director Jonathan Levine’s Christmas comedy The Night Before.  The story revolves around three childhood friends, Ethan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Seth Rogen), and Chris (Anthony Mackie) who come together for one last debauchery-filled Christmas Eve reunion before officially becoming too old for the tradition. In an effort to make this last hurrah as memorable as possible, they set out to find the storied Nutcracka Ball—the mother of all Christmas parties.

Levine previously teamed up with Gordon-Levitt and Rogen for the sweet, funny, and very emotional 50/50, so the thing I’m most curious about with regards to The Night Before is to see if it carries Levine’s signature tender touch, or if it’s more just a straightforward comedy. But judging by these trailers, if it’s the latter it’ll still be quite satisfying. The final sequence of jokes here land beautifully even without the profanity, and I’m really excited to see the dynamic between Gordon-Levitt, Rogen, and Mackie at play.

The film also stars Jillian Bell, Lizzy Caplan, Mindy Kaling, and Michael Shannon. The Night Before opens on November 25th.
