‘The Night Shift’ Star Scott Wolf Talks Season 3, The Butt Box, Gruesome Effects & More

     August 3, 2016

We’re busy covering shows like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead non-stop, so while there’s a chance NBC’s The Night Shift isn’t on your radar, you might want to give it a shot. As the title suggests, the show takes place during the night shift at San Antonio Memorial’s emergency room and features Eoin MackenJill FlintKen Leung and more as the team of doctors who try to hold it together even when the ER is flooded with patients.

Good thing for them that Scott Wolf‘s surgeon Scott Clemmens has had a growing presence on the show. Wolf served as a recurring cast member on the first two seasons, but now he’s a full-blown regular. With Season 3 wrapping up at the end of the month, Wolf took some time to visit the Collider Video studio to talk about the show, the medical skills he’s picked up while making it, reminisce about the butt box and play a round of Rapid Fire. You can catch it all in the video interview at the top of this article.

The Night Shift airs Wednesday nights on NBC.

Scott Wolf:

  • 00:35 – Why you should watch The Night Shift, even if you’ve seen enough medical dramas.
  • 02:00 – Having worked on the show, can he treat an injury now?
  • 03:10 – If he had to go to the ER, which cast member would be his doctor of choice?
  • 03:58 – On shadowing a surgeon; working with the detailed special effects.
