The characters of Sarah Wayne Callies aren’t strangers to disasters. They’ve faced The Walking Dead, gone Into the Storm, and now the latest one is about to feel the full force of the non-walking dead. The first trailer for the actress’ latest project has arrived to tease the horrors that wait on The Other Side of the Door.

You only had one job, Callies: don’t open the door. Of course, she does, but before you start laying into her, she had a pretty compelling reason to let that rule slide. Her character, Maria, lost her son during a storm while traveling outside of the country and she wanted to say her final goodbyes. A local woman with knowledge of the other side said she could do so by traveling to a temple said to be a playground for the dead. As these films tend to go, she comes back with a special friend who terrorizes her and her family.

MTV debuted the trailer for The Other Side of the Door, which is directed and co-written by horror helmer Johannes Roberts (Storage 24). The film also features Jeremy Sisto (remember Cher’s douchey classmate from Clueless?) and Javier Botet (Crimson Peak). The footage shown is fine, but doesn’t do well in setting itself apart from the haunting sub-genre. There are jump scares, a monstrous poltergeist, and a creepy shaman-esque mystery man, but nothing foreboding enough to send shivers down our spines.

The Other Side of the Door will be released on March 11th. Here’s the official synopsis:

A family lives an idyllic existence abroad until a tragic accident takes the life of their young son. The inconsolable mother learns of an ancient ritual that will bring him back to say a final goodbye. She travels to an ancient temple, where a door serves as a mysterious portal between two worlds. But when she disobeys a sacred warning to never open that door, she upsets the balance between life and death.
