We've got a collection of posters for some family films coming our way over the following year.  Briefly:

  • The Peanuts Movie – Snoopy rests peacefully in a new poster that continues to make the film look like it could be quite charming.  The animated film opens in 3D on November 6, 2015.
  • Paddington – The lesson of this poster: If you adopt a talking bear, he will ruin your home.  Most home insurance policies do not cover water damage caused by bears.  The film opens in the U.K. on November 28th and in the U.S. on January 16, and stars Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Julie Walters, and Peter Capaldi, and Nicole Kidman with Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington Bear.
  • The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge out of Water – The upcoming sequel takes the animated characters into the live-action realm and turns them into superheroes, and these posters provide the names of their alter-egos.  The film opens in 3D on February 6, 2015, and features the voices of Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence, and Douglas Lawrence.

From the beloved novels by Michael Bond and producer David Heyman (HARRY POTTER), PADDINGTON tells the story of the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw) who travels to the city in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined – until he meets the kindly Brown family who read the label around his neck that says “Please look after this bear. Thank you,” and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a museum taxidermist.
