All sorts of superheroes are coming out of retirement with a new look these days, and The Powerpuff Girls are the latest example of that trend.  Created by Craig McCracken and running from 1998 to 2005, the Emmy-winning animated series centered on three super-powered girls who protected their home of Townsville "from monsters, would-be conquerers and a few other gross things."  Original voice actors Elizabeth Daily, Tara Strong and Cathy Cavadini will return to voice their characters in the new special, which also features Beatles' member Ringo Starr voicing a flashy mathematician by the name of Fibonacci Sequins.  The special, titled The Powerpuff Girls: Dance Pantsed, also features an original song and music video from Starr.  It will air on Cartoon Network January 20th at 7:30pm ET.  Hit the jump to watch the trailer.
