Universal Pictures has released the first trailer, poster, and images for writer/director James DeMonaco's horror sequel The Purge: Anarchy.  The follow-up continues the plot device from the first film in which all crimes are legal on one day of the year, during the annual “Purge”, which preserves peace and prosperity for the other 364 days of the year.  The sequel looks solid since instead of another home invasion, it appears we'll be going beyond the confines of a shelter and watching characters struggle to survive the night.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer, poster, and images. The film stars Frank Grillo (The Grey), Michael K. Williams (Boardwalk Empire), and Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights).  The Purge: Anarchy opens in theaters on June 20th.
