I saw The Purge: Anarchy a little over a month ago, and while my official review is still under embargo, I think it’s okay if I tell you that I really enjoyed it.  Whereas I felt the first movie had trouble finding its identity, the sequel is a small-scale action film and much better for it.  It also has a great lead performance from Frank Grillo, and he does a great job carrying the picture.  The original was a sleeper hit, and I hope that the sequel can still be a standout among this summer’s big-budget blockbusters.

I’m pleased to announce we’re giving away 20 admit-two passes to the Atlanta screening of The Purge: Anarchy.  Hit the jump to find out how you can see the movie early and for free.  The film also stars Carmen EjogoZach GilfordKiele Sanchez, and Michael K. Williams.  The Purge: Anarchy opens July 18th.

To enter for a chance to win an admit-two pass, send an e-mail to Collider.Passes@gmail.com with the subject line “THE PURGE: ANARCHY”.  The screening is on Tuesday, July 15th at 7:00pm at Regal Atlantic Station, so don’t enter if you think you’ll be unavailable.  Please note that a pass is not a ticket.  To guarantee a seat, please arrive at the theater early since seating is first come, first serve.

In case you haven’t seen it, here’s the trailer:

Here's the official synopsis for The Purge: Anarchy:

The New Founders of America invite you to celebrate your annual right to Purge. The Purge: Anarchy, the sequel to summer 2013’s sleeper hit that opened to No. 1 at the box-office, sees the return of writer/director/producer James DeMonaco to craft the next terrifying chapter of dutiful citizens preparing for their country’s yearly 12 hours of anarchy.
