Universal Pictures has released about a dozen new images for writer/director James DeMonaco‘s upcoming horror sequel The Purge: Anarchy. One of the things I like about the direction this followup seems to be taking is that it truly expands on the general promise of the concept of “the Purge”, or at least it begins to show it implemented, rather than using it as a nifty backdrop for a mediocre home invasion film (à la last year’s first installment). These pictures give you a good sense of that.
