We now have our first look at John Cusack as Edgar Allan Poe in the upcoming period-thriller The Raven.  Directed by James McTeigue (V for Vendetta), the story has Poe teaming up with a detective (played by Luke Evans) to search for a serial killer who has kidnapped the author’s fiancée (Alice Eve) and gone on a murder spree that recalls Poe’s stories.

Hit the jump to check out Cusack looking Poe-y.  Also, click here for Steve’s interview with McTeigue where the director talks about the film.

  1. I wasn’t aware of this project. It sounds great. I just hope it is executed well. I always thought that Poe, the man, was more interesting than most of his actual work–especially his poetry. Blech.

  2. Hello my loved one! I wish to say that this post is awesome, nice written and come with approximately all important infos. I would like to peer more posts like this .
