IFC Films has released a new The Riot Club trailer for director Lone Scherfig’s (An Education) adaptation of the stage play Posh. The story takes place at modern day Oxford University, revolving around a young man’s entry into the famed “Riot Club”, an exclusive and prestigious fraternity made up of young elites. I caught the film at TIFF last fall and liked it quite a bit (read my full review here). The pledging and initiation stuff is entertaining, and the movie subsequently uses this Riot Club to examine class structure from a “soon-to-be-ruling class” point of view.

This trailer provides a nice overview of the film, but it verges on revealing a bit too much. If you’re already intrigued enough to seek the movie out, I’d suggest not watching the trailer. But if you’re on the fence, this clip is fairly indicative of the film as a whole.

Watch the new The Riot Club trailer below, and click here to watch Steve's interview with Douglas Booth. The film also stars Sam Claflin, Max Irons, Jessica Brown Findlay, and Holliday Grainger. The Riot Club opens in theaters and on VOD and Digital HD on March 27th.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Riot Club:

Two first-year students at Oxford University join the infamous Riot Club, where reputations can be made or destroyed over the course of a single evening.
