The first theatrical trailer for David Fincher’s Facebook-origin story, The Social Network, is now online and it is very, very good. Thus far, I have been impressed with everything we have seen of the film, including the somewhat cryptic first two teaser trailers. Certainly on par with those, this trailer gives us our first look at live-action within the film, while maintaining the dark overtones established by Scala & Kolacny Brothers piano-choir cover of Radiohead’s “Creep.”
Needless to say, if you’ve been interested by the film thus far, you are going to like what you see after the jump. The Social Network stars Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, future web-slinger Andrew Garfield, Joseph Mazzello, and Armie Hammer. It’s set to open later this year on October 1st.

“Creep” is the complete opposite of what facebook is about….I don’t know if thats intentional or not.

I cannot wait till October 1st. This movie looks very promising.

sick song.
The movie looks pretty cool but I can't stand Facebook. People who use it seem to be missing the point of friendship. Especially those who interact more with (nearby) friends rather than spending time with them in person when its a totally viable option.
That trailer totally sucked me in. This has real potential. Hope it's awesome.
“creep” is hardly the opposite of facebook. and Corin, i think that the internet allows people to stay in touch with each other better than any technology invented thus far in human history. and yes, Facebook has become a huge part of that.
Isn't it obvious?
I’ll pay to watch anything David Fincher directs.
