A couple weeks ago, we showed you a couple glimpses of The Farrelly BrothersThe Three Stooges.  USA Today has now provided the first full look at Curly (Will Sasso), Larry (Sean Hayes) and Moe (Chris Diamantopoulos).  Sasso looks like Sasso, but Hayes and Diamantopoulos have definitely been transformed into their characters.  For those unfamiliar with the project, The Three Stooges isn’t a biopic or even one full narrative, but instead it stay true to the original shorts by having the film divided into three segments.  And even though the Farrelly Brothers have made their names on gross-out PG-13 and R-rated comedies, they have promised to keep this movie PG.  I can’t doubt the Farrellys devotion and admiration for The Three Stooges and hopefully that will translate to a movie that honors the characters and provides plenty of laughs.

Hit the jump to check out the full image.  The film also stars Jane Lynch, Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Hudson, and Larry DavidThe Three Stooges opens April 4, 2012.

Moe doesn’t look angry enough. He should look perpetually p!ssed off.

Yeah,I was about to say the same thing.Seriously though,Sean Hayes makes me cringe. He’s a pathetic “comedian”.

Same with the other upper-head-shot. Why isn’t Moe angry? That makes it seem even more out of place than it already is (and boy is it)!

  • Wow

Until I see something more, I am not looking forward to this future train wreck.

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again…columbia pictures produced the original…funny how Fox is doing this one. that says enough for me.

This movie is going to suck big time..the guy playing Larry looks creepy as shit..the guy playing Moe does not look mean enough and looks more like an idiot..and the Sasso guy playing Curly looks like Sasso..LOL total SHIT!

Great. Another movie nobody wants to see.

The only thing that comes to mind about this picture is that Sean Hayes looks like the ugly bald twin brother of Carrot Top.

Would be happier with the originally announced cast but it is still the Farrelly Brothers and the Stooges (Curly version) are great. FYI – The Stooges actually were nominated for an Acedemy Award. Like the idea of having 3 shorts making up the movie and Larry David is in it so stop the negative vibes or I’ll ask you to pick two.

Is it me or does the person playing Moe lookin like Colin Farrell in that picture?

  • DAVEED

Not sure yet about the other two, but Sasso will knock this out of the park. He’s one of the most underrated impressionists of our time and a great actor to boot. If you actually pay close attention to pics of him in this, he dioes have the kind of blank, confused look that Curly should have.

Undeniably imagine that that you stated. Your favourite reason seemed to be on the internet the easiest factor to bear in mind of. I say to you, I definitely get irked while other folks think about worries that they plainly do not know about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the top and also outlined out the entire thing without having side-effects , other people can take a signal. Will probably be again to get more. Thanks

I can understand the reason that the production decided to go with “lesser known” or more youthful performers for the role. I imagine the audience for this would be 14 -20 year old males. Anytime you create a feature length film that’s sole purpose is imitation of a comedy team from 65 years ago you are tempting the Movie Flop Gods! My prediction is that it will last about two weeks, get pulled as soon as the story comes out about the 11 year old that went to see it and then went home and blinded his little brother with an eye poke imitation. From first glimpse it looks like the three blues brothers with no R&B music. Bury it next to the “Bewitched” film and the “Brady Bunch” movies.
