The Tick is back! Or at least he will be when Amazon's superhero series returns for Season 2 this April. To celebrate that fact, the first official trailer for the season is now here. It promises that "new villains will plunder, new heroes will rise" in the episodes to come, and it also teases a team-up between The Tick, Arthur, Dot, Overkill, and Superian with newly minted heroes who've arrived on the scene. (Still no glimpses of classics like American Maid, Die Fledermaus, or Sewer Urchin, unfortunately.)

The series stars Peter Serafinowicz in the title role alongside Griffin Newman, Valorie Curry, Yara Martinez, Scott Speiser, Brendan Hines and more. The new 10-episode season arrives April 5th.

Check out the first official trailer for Season 2 of The Tick below:

Here's Amazon's tease for what's to come in Season 2:

Tick and Arthur have freed the City from The Terror — now they must defend it from new villains and old enemies. That is if they can convince AEGIS, the government agency in charge of superhero regulation, that they deserve the job. But now that the City is ‘safe enough to protect’ Tick and Arthur begin to see they’ve got competition...

And here's the official synopsis for The Tick:

In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an accountant with mental health issues and zero powers comes to suspect his city is owned by a global super villain long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover the conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero. They launch into an adventure brimming with crazed archvillains, blood-soaked vigilantes, and superhuman freakery.
