The debut red-band trailer for the R-rated comedy The To Do List (previously titled The Hand Job) has landed online, and it’s wonderfully filthy. The film stars Aubrey Plaza as a sexually inexperienced teenager with a type-A personality who decides to engage in numerous sex acts before she goes to college. The trailer is very explicit about said acts, but never veers into “too awkward to watch” territory. Plaza is spot-on as the lead, and she’s buoyed by a ridiculously amazing supporting cast that includes Donald Glover, Rachel Bilson, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Alia Shawkat, Mae Whitman, Johnny Simmons, Connie Britton, Clark Gregg, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Scott Porter. Seriously, this ensemble is stacked and they all look to be bringing their A-game.
Hit the jump to watch the trailer, then make your Valentine’s Day plans accordingly. Written and directed by Maggie Carey, the film opens on February 14th, 2013.

Here’s a synopsis for The To-Do List:
Starring Aubrey Plaza, THE TO DO LIST follows the story of Brandy Klark (Plaza), a Type-A, overachiever who comes up with a “to-do list” featuring all the risqué extra-curricular activities she missed out on in high school and wants to complete before college. Rachel Bilson, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Scott Porter, Connie Britton, Clark Gregg, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Donald Glover, Johnny Simmons, Sarah Steele and Alia Shawkat co-star in the film.

Maybe they should put laughs in a trailer that’s supposed to be a comedy?
I don’t know what’s more awkward, this lame laughs-free trailer that tried to be oh so filthy , or the fact that this site is presenting it as “Hilariously Dirty”…
Specially when the actress introduces it at “not one of those lame valentine’s day movies”.
Ouch.
The Fuck it list.
BAZING! XD
WACK!
This is not funny. The girl is becoming annoying. It feels worse than what it is trying not to be.
Not hilarious at all.
this movie looks so funny! now i have plans on valentines day! and yes, I do think it looks hilarious and no, that girl is not becoming annoying. what kind of real comedy trailer has a laugh track-this aint no sitcom bitch! letting the audience decide whats funny is real comedy- this is classy comedy , no cheap sellout laugh track here. y’all wont be laughing when this is a box office hit bitchesss. booom.
No, in fact when this becomes a box office hit, we are not gonna be giving a flying fuck, not laughing nor crying. Only idiots that sign their posts “booom” measure quality in movies by how money they make.
What happens when a character actor (co-star) gets to play the lead in a movie. I like Plaza, but she works best as the quirky friend, or in a bit part. I guess it’s just part of the trend to try and make stars out of anyone who has appeared in a Jud Apatow flick or show. Some have it, and some don’t, but they all get pushed on the public real hard. These days I can’t hear enough about Jay Barchule, and how amazing a talent that he is. Being a third rate Ralph Macchio is grounds for stardom these days.

she has the eyes of a dead shark
She has one note, and she plays it over, and over and over. Her schtick is already tired. Ditto for Donald Glover.
Um no offense but how much did they pay you to say good things about this trailer? I would’ve taken the money too but seriously this looks painfully unfunny. Looks like every other movie about pressuring teens to lose their virginity. Pass.
Daria: The Movie
Pretty awesome cast. It will be interesting to see if Plaza can carry off being the lead. The script for The Hand Job was on the 2009 blacklist of best unproduced screenplays and got a lot of attention. Curious how it will turn out but I think it has more potential than the trailer shows.
Not funny . Just nasty and dumb. Bad acting and worse writing and directing! I mean wow is this a dull , pointless , and brain dead flick.,
