First Official Image from THE TOURIST Starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp

I’m always interested in an on-screen pairing ripe with both talent and star power that’s never been tapped before — Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp more than fit the bill in the Venice-set thriller The Tourist.  Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (The Lives of Others) is directing this tale of an American tourist (Depp) who is drawn into the tangled life of an Interpol agent (Jolie).  Check out the first official still from the film after the jump.

Here’s a fuller synopsis for The Tourist courtesy of The Sun:

Johnny Depp plays Frank, an American tourist visiting Italy after experiencing heartache in his personal life.

While taking in the sights of Venice, he meets Elise (Angelina Jolie) who deliberately crosses his path.

Frank falls for her charms and the pair are soon caught in a whirlwind of intrigue and danger.
