Summit Entertainment has released the first trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. In the third chapter of the series – directed by David Slade – Bella (Kristen Stewart) is once again debating if she should choose Edward (Robert Pattinson) or Jacob (Taylor Lautner). While she is weighing the pro’s and con’s, an old foe from the first film comes back to cause problems. But in the third film…she looks different. Cut to Bryce Dallas Howard.
With a release date of June 30 and the fact that the Twilight momentum seems to be gaining new followers rather than slowing down, the only question left is how much money Summit is going to make with the third release and when will they officially announce Breakiing Dawn is two movies. Hit the jump to check out the trailer:
And on a side note, while I cover Twilight all the time and interview the actors and directors, I still haven’t read the books, so I have no idea what happens. I love telling all the Twilight fans this info because it makes them crazy.
Here’s the official synopsis:
In THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between Edward and Jacob – knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

*vomit*
I keep trying to give this series a chance to get me interested. The premise seems halfway interesting in this one, but the execution looks so lifeless. I know it doesn’t matter to the fans, though, and that’s fine. I guess I’m missing out. I do have the feeling that this will be a series people look back on with embarrassment. And that’s fine, too.
