Cast and Crew Tease Season Three of THE WALKING DEAD in New Behind-the-Scenes Featurette

     May 21, 2012

Summer is only just kicking off, but there’s plenty of viewers who already can’t wait for the fall, if only for the third season of The Walking Dead to premiere on AMC. Thankfully, though there’s months until we see the premiere, AMC is teasing viewers with a behind-the-scenes featurette of the first episode of the third season, already in production. Words like dark, ominous, harder, faster are all tossed around by cast members like Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus. There’s also hints and mentions of new characters we’ve already heard about including David Morrissey as The Governor and Danai Gurira as Michionne . There will be a great link behind the camera from the second season finale to the third season premiere as Ernest R. Dickerson is at the helm of both. Anyway, I’ll let the featurette talk about the rest after the jump.

I think they may have already burned too many bridges with that lackluster season 2, between the bad writing and AMC’s complete disdain for their successful series. I know I personally am not all that interested in watching any more of it in any great hurry.

Yet here you are, commenting on it? I call bullshit on you not watching season 3. Season 2 may have started slow but it picked up steam in a big way. I can’t wait for October!

I didn’t say I wouldn’t watch it, I said that I’m not particularly interested in doing so, which is probably a bad thing. Especially since I really enjoyed the first season and I love me some zombie media. Every episode of season 2 either contained something mind-numbingly insulting or was just an effort to get through.

i love the walking dead, but still, something that always has bothered me is that the show has never lived up to the potential that was displayed in that first pilot episode. hasn’t even come close to that ep in my book. i hope season 3 improves on what they built in season 2, but honestly my hopes are not very high considering shane is no longer involved, he was a very interesting character, and my favorite moments of the show were actually when rick and shane worked together as a team to kill some motherflippin zombies. i really enjoyed that dynamic. sad to see it go.

This is true, I love Game of Thrones and we all know how unwordy and action heavy that is.
