Now that 2014 is upon us, we can look forward to the return of AMC’s crowd-pleasing drama, The Walking Dead.  To celebrate that fact, the network has released a new poster featuring stars Andrew Lincoln and Chandler Riggs.  Although the poster’s tagline says, “Don’t Look Back”, you can bet that viewers will be recounting the chaotic events of the mid-season finale before the second half of season four kicks off.  If you missed any of the episodes (or the New Years marathon), you can check out our recaps here.  AMC will be hosting another series marathon starting February 2nd, which leads up to the premiere of a new episode on Sunday, February 9th at 9pm.

Hit the jump to check out the new artwork.

Blatant foreshadowing that Carl will stand taller than Rick in stature/leadership? The father becomes the son, the son becomes the father?

I used to hate Carl, but in the past two seasons I’ve really come to love him. I can’t wait for the show to return in February!

Completely agree. Chandler Rigg’s acting made a major improvement after season 2 which was all the difference. And his character is one of the most interesting. In the season 3 finale, he was the person who really stuck out. He shot a kid dead in cold blood. A kid who was handing over his gun and surrendering. But when Rick confronted Carl about why he did it, he had the very sound argument of how the last time they trusted someone who attacked them (Andrew didn’t like getting kicked out of the prison after Tomas was killed), he lost his mother. The kid growing up in a dead world really is an interesting story.

Carl has turned into a real badass and also seems to be the smartest one in the group most of the time. Probably going to end up hooking up with that gun wielding little girl (forgot her name) she reminds me of a young Carl.

Two easter eggs in this poster:
The right eye of Carl did not appear, neither Rick’s right hand. Maybe it’s just a reference to the comics, but it’s a nice reference.

      Also….no nipples appeared.

      Obvious foreshadowing
