AMC has released the first official The Walking Dead Season 5 poster, which boasts the ominous tagline “Hunt or Be Hunted.”  Given that this new season may or may not feature a showdown between Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) gang and a group of people that may or may not be cannibals, the moniker seems appropriate.  Despite the fact that The Walking Dead airs on a cable network, it stands as the most watched drama series on all of television in the coveted 18-49 demo, which is kind of a big deal.  While the actual quality of the show varies depending on who you talk to, there’s no denying that a lot of people are watching.  Will the ratings rise continue in Season 5 or will the series finally plateau?

Coleman, Sonequa-Martin Green, and Lawrence Gilliard Jr.  The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres on AMC Sunday, October 12th at 9pm ET/PT.

Maybe they could hunt if they were smart enough to leave a Samurai and an Archer outside of the possibly dangerous building they were about to enter and come and get them once they knew it was safe.

I have to say that Rick is really the only person who has committed to becoming their disheveled role. Sure, Daryl has longer darker hair and Herschel grew a beard but not a single other actor changed their appearance for the show.

T-Dawg had a cleanly shaved head after a year on the run from Walkers. Prison inmates locked in a kitchen for a year didn’t have no Fros. Lori and Andrea probably had shaved legs. Glenn probably never shaved, but Glenn is Chinese, they can’t grow beards. Merle probably didn’t even cut off his hand for real.

Glenn is Korean. And from Michigan I think.

It’s a TV show, man. You’re just nitpicking at this point.

The Strain has been making this show look like some CW soap opera.

Last season ranged from superb to down right dull.

Hopefully this season drops the side stories and keeps to the main story.

Last season seemed to be the most well rounded since season 1 but of course there are lagging elements whether it be the writing or some of the acting but overall not bad. It looks like the Beth storyline may be a side story for most of the first half of the season though.
