THE WALKING DEAD Season 5 Teaser Trailers and Images Highlight Monsters Both Living and Dead

by     Posted 111 days ago

Halloween is just around the corner, which means a new season of The Walking Dead is upon us.  While the show has gone through a number of creative changes behind the scenes, it appears that current showrunner Scott M. Gimple is poised to eclipse original showrunner Frank Darabont’s length of time in that position (assuming he makes it through Season 5 unscathed), as Gimple has held the role since he took over at the beginning of Season 4.  With a new batch of episodes on the horizon, AMC has unveiled a couple of The Walking Dead Season 5 teaser trailers as well as some high-resolution images to tide fans over until the show returns.  I bailed on the series midway through Season 3, but it remains one of the highest rated dramas across all networks and TWD fandom is as intense as ever, so I imagine these new teasers and images will be of interest to many.

Take a look at the new The Walking Dead teaser trailers and images after the jump.  The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres on AMC October 12th.

In addition to returning castmembers Andrew Lincoln, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Melissa McBride, Emily Kinney, Chad L. Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Lawrence Gilliard Jr, actors Michael Cudlitz, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Alanna Masterson, and Andrew J. West have been promoted to series regulars this year, with The Wire alum Seth Gilliam joining the cast as Father Gabriel Stokes, as all return.

I like how they progressively look shittier and shittier from season 1 to now their clothes and selves lacking hygiene and care. Well I take that back, the car companies that sponsor the show somehow provide magical cars that never need a car wash in an apocalyptic zombie outbreak.

And you’d think that the fuel in the tanks would be full of sediment and probably kill the engines once they got them started.

Not to mention the Hyundai they had wasn’t even on the roads by the time of the outbreak.

Come on, it’s not like this is real history taking place right now. LOL

We are talking only about a year. I think many cars would still start with existing fuel. I have a chainsaw that always starts after sometimes more than sitting in my non-temperature controlled shed for more then a year, and with “old” gas in it.

The show is getting repetitive and boring. That’s the real issue I have with it.

Are we sure about that? We know that it’s been at least nine months give or take, because of Laurie’s pregnancy. However, if we go by Carl’s aging, it seems to have been more like two.

The magic of product placement ruining a show.

News flash — many of these cars are out in the open, and it rains a lot in Georgia.

I just want to know who’s walking around zombie apocalypse America, cutting all the damn grass.

Big fan of how the season started with fully intact zombies and as the seasons progress they are falling apart and rotting. Also, great job on the dirt and grime and disgusting clothes they wear since there is no washing and cleaning daily. My favorite show on TV, can’t wait till October!

5th photo down, is that the governor?

    • LEM

I think they confirmed that Lily shot him in the head so he wouldn’t have turned.

Oh good to know. Since I haven’t watched the show yet. Someday when I finally get up the nerve to sit down and marathon it that will be one thing I can know ahead of time. Thanks. That Governor looks like kid of a bad guy so it’ll be good to know he gets shot in the head eventually the first time I see him and start to not like him. I can just tell myself, wait for it. That guy is going to get shot in the head.

        You’re welcome.

Somehow my interest has started to die for this show. But here I am reading this post.
