Sony Pictures has released three clips for For Jeremy Garelick's upcoming comedy The Wedding Ringer.  The film cetners on a socially awkward yet sucessful groom-to-be (Josh Gad) who hires the CEO of Best Man Inc. (Kevin Hart) to be his best man and help him pull of the perfect wedding.  I didn't get a lot from the trailers, so I'm happy to say the clips actually look promising.  Gad and Hart have good chemistry, and the films seems to have a bit of genuine warmth in the middle of the goofiness.  The grandma bits are a little too slapsticky for my taste, but over all The Wedding Ringer has definite promise.  And I'm glad, because Sony really needs a win right now.

The film hits theaters on January 16, 2015 and also stars Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Olivia Thirlby, Cloris Leachman, Ken Howard, Jenifer Lewis, and Mimi Rogers. Check out The Wedding Ringer clips after the jump.

Here's the official synopsis for The Wedding Ringer:

Jimmy provides best man services for socially challenged guys, who - for whatever reason - have no one close enough to agree to stand by them on the day of their wedding. Doug, a groom-to-be, has found himself in just such a situation, but, to make matters worse, he fabricates the names of not only a best man but nine groomsmen as well. When all else fails, Doug seeks out Jimmy's services to carry out a charade designed to make Doug look his best, but threatens to destroy everything if it fails.
