A new international trailer for director James Mangold’s The Wolverine has been released online. The upcoming film follows the events of X-Men: The Last Stand where a guilt-ridden Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) doesn't want to live with the curse of immortality, so he's offered the chance to lose it thanks to a mysterious benefactor.  I really like this premise, although it reminds me a little of this comedy video.  Mangold looks like he's found a nice balance between action and drama, and I'm eager to see where this story goes.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Wolverine:

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.
