“When u betray me.” Not ‘if u.” NICE! Looks good.

    • Joe

      Good hindsight catch…uhm…Cpt. Hindsight… :-P

  • TokkenLokimoment

I KNEEEEEWWW they would wait to have a tokken loki moment at the END of the trailer becuz they KNOW loki is what will sell tickets!!

TEENAGE girls want loki NO ONE is looking for thor or jane or bla bla bla…….

also the trend of making everything “dark” since dark knight continues ZZZZzzzzzzz

try being original. and putting this out in the FALL so it wil actually make money and not be CRUSHED by sueprman

    • Derp

It’s funny that you somehow think this is actually going to be “dark.” You probably think Leave It to Beaver is gritty too.

    • Ishu

Teenage girls like love triangles and Thor premises has that quality.

    • Ur mom

There are DARK elves in the movie, so it makes sense.

This trailer is amazing…like amazing…full fledge war scene, a menacing Eccelsen voice over(btw he looks fantastic),the Thor/Jane love story looks to be taken to a whole new level with lots more depth(thankfully to because that was the weakest part of the first)(Looks life Sif is also gonna really start showing some feelings for Thor as well), and finally……I for one was hoping Loki wouldn’t be in this cause he might be getting to much show time but MY GOD just that seen he sounds and looks like a straight maniac and I just can’t wait to see more of him.

  • Matt1

I wasn’t a HUGE fan of the first Thor, in fact I thought it was by far the weakest of the Marvel Phase 1 films. But this does look pretty awesome…

    • CheeseWhiz

I wouldn’t get my hopes up for this one being any better. The entire silly premise isn’t going to change, nor is the amount of care put into making it anything beyond a product to be consumed by the masses.

      • Amar

Thats it Thor is hero of masses, called it silly but avengers is not possible without those silly world premises story.

      • CheeseWhiz

I certainly didn’t say anything about The Avengers being any better.

      • Joe

Dude…what “premise” are you talking about? It’s a friggin comic book movie for goodness sakes…and made FOR the masses.
Tell us something we don’t already know.

      • Nate H

This comment makes no sense because you’re forgetting that it’s a COMIC BOOK MOVIE. Of course you have to suspend your disbelief. Being upset at that is like being upset that Million Dollar Baby is dramatic…that’s what it is. Look at even the best comic book films, like the Dark Knight. That’s still a guy DRESSING UP LIKE A BAT, FIGHTING CRIME, AND CALLING HIMSELF BAT-MAN. The only reason that we accept that is because we’re used to the character. So yeah, the premise is silly. So are the premises for a lot of movies, but it’s dealt with in a realistic, character-driven way. If you can’t get past a silly premise, then you should probably not watch movies.

    • Brandon Avery

I agree. Well actually i thoguht IM2 was the weakest in phase 1. This does look awesome. The only part i dont like is the way Loki looked. I wanted to see him locked up/punished asgardian chains or something. It was only a few seconds to judge so i cant come to any conclusions. Gosh i want this to be a 10/10

      • ItsNotASchooner

I think it actually makes sense, Loki being a nice big cell in Asgard. After all, he is still royalty.

    • Andrew

I enjoyed Thor certainly allot more than Captain America.I purchased the latter(cheap)on dvd only coz i wanted to find out more about the Cosmic Cube.

Hemsworth needs to get back to Summer Bay where he belongs… He cant carry a film of this magnitude and is acted of the screen by Hiddleston, Portman, Elba and Dennings every scene they have together. You will also be able to add Doctor Who to that list coz even as an elf coz he’ll make Thor look more wooden than a flat pack ikea wardrobe. I feel they should reboot Thor for Phase 3 and cast someone like Paul Levesque or Sean Bean as Thor.

    • Ur mom

Reboot? Dream on. There’s no need for one.

    • Chris

      Your idiocy amuses me. Again!

  • Bob

Great trailer. Eccleston looks and sounds brilliant. And I was hoping for less Loki in this film cause hes been getting a lot of showtime….but after that ending clip give me more of him! He just looks and sounds like a maniac. Some full fledge war scenes look nice to. One of the best parts, they are actually gonna up the level and dwelve deeper into the Thor/Jane love story(in the first film it was the weakest link so happy their gonna go further into it and take it way more serious…not just Portman looking bewildered everytime Hemsworth smiles at her). But yea, great trailer.

  • Ray

I like Thor, but a storyline where there’s a damsel in distress and a kidnapping villain? please…

    • Steve

Not to mention Loki probably planned to get caught. Just like in The Dark Knight/Avengers/Skyfall/Into Darkness…

Wait, can I still use that one?

    • The Destroyer

I didn’t get any notion of a damsel in distress or a kidnapping villain. It seems to me the villain is trying to destroy or conquer the Nine Realms.

  • Xavier

Same old, same old. I cannot believe films like this one make money, whereas a classy film like DREDD has no chance at the box office. World is insane.

    • Rich woa

I loved Dredd. It’s one of the few comic films where it didnt have an origin story for a reboot. You just get thrown right in and immediately you know that Dredd is a badass.

      • xs

Exactly. It was just plain simple violent graphic fun . I would kill to get a sequel.

    • DREDD

We want Dredd :) Dredd was excellent :) Why are people buying this shit like Thor. Make original movies something like Matrix, Inception, Saw …..

      • Ur mom

Thor is not shit. Twilight and Justin Bieber is.

    • Ur mom

I think it’s because the marketing wasn’t so good and sadly, many aren’t interested. Thor is great, but it’s indeed a shame that films like Dredd get ignored cuz there’s no romance, sparkly vamps or Taylor Laughtner. -__-

    • Chris

I was a huge fan of Dredd, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t room for entertaining superhero movies like Thor. In between the yearly installments of Marvel films, there are dozens of truly awful, even more unoriginally formulaic movies that fill the theaters every weekend. Blame them and the studio for being unable to sell something as great as Dredd to the masses. Don’t finger point at other successful franchises that satisfy their fanbases.

    • Nate H

That’s kind of an unfair statement. Dredd doesn’t really need a whole lot of explanation. He’s a judge/jury/executioner in the near future and fights crime. Okay, that’s all I need to know. There are lots of movies about future societies and crime and future police forces. Run of the mill. Makes sense. But if you just say to an audience “this guy is the Norse god of Thunder. Go,” then people aren’t going to buy in because they aren’t used to that. You’d also leave out a lot of the mythology surrounding the character that would be useful in the future.

Also, the term “classy” is kinda funny when in the same sentence as the movie Dredd. I could literally write the script for Dredd myself for all the plot twists, depth, and character development present. Like it or not, the Thor movie makes attempts at all of those.

      • Rich woa

I get your point but you need to explain more then that other then him being a Judge in the future.
He has his own origin story that’s not just him enlisting as a judge. It’s hard to compare it to Thor since his story is more complicated. We were literally thrown into the world.

  • nNark

“If you dug the first Thor, you’re going to love this trailer.” Damn, Steve, you really can’t stop shilling in any post or piece, can you?

  • Matty

Need a Dredd sequel dang it.

  • Lance

Looking good! If the guy did Game of Thrones, I’m guessing he probably knows how to handle this type of material.

  • Drake

Just based off this trailer, it seems to have a very different feel from the first. Looking forward to it.

Jane might die… I’d be okay with that… And when are our superheroes going to learn that glass prisons don’t work, or at least for very long.

    • Ur mom

It’s Asgard. I’m sure it’s not an ordinary glass prison like we have on Earth. And Loki has been in prison for about a year. He sure is taking a long time trying to escape.
And I think I saw a shot of Loki walking with Thor and Jane, so I guess he does go out and maybe “help” Thor.

      • rich woa

I might be wrong since I havnt seen Avengers since the theaters but wasnt he going to be killed for failing to take earth with Thanos army? If this is true, I doubt he would want to leave Asgard’s protection so quickly

  • Jared

    Bitchin’

  • sense 11

Finally Jane’s gonna die, looks like they read my memo

  • huh

    where is his helmet?

  • Romsy

    Dr. Hannibal Loki, i’m in.

  • bob

It looks bad, we want galactus or mangog, we want colors too and hot asgardian peplumesque chicks

  • Smelly fish fingers

Mmmm looks cheap….not sure about the feel on this one shame brannagh didnt come back. Those titles look cheap and the red on marvel turning into the cape looked terrible

    • Ur mom

Nah. That red cape thing was amazing.

  • Bob

What an amazing trailer. Watched it like five times already. Eccleston sounds and looks fantastic. And Loki…..looks and also sounds like a stright maniac now haha, look awesome with his crazy hair. I’m thinking Portman might die, would be interesting if they do decide to kill her off. I do like how they are gonna up th level of the Sif/Thor/Jane love story and hopefully give it more depth then the first film since that was the first films weakest link. Oh and one of the best parts of the trailer…..looks like the action is gonna be way better than the first film(first film the only good battle was Thor vs Frost Giants) and it seems like there might be a liitle war scene with the Elfs.

  • jon

Ha ha, never fails. I thought “Cool, that looked pretty tight. Now lets scroll down to the comments and see why everyone thinks it’s gonna suck.” I couldn’t find a single reasonable comment.

Hemsworth sucks (Even though he looks exactly like the character in the comics)
They should recast with an actor 25 years older.
It’s too dark (even though it’s called The Dark World
They only put Loki in it for teenage girls. WTF?
This movie should be more like (some other random movie commenter thought was awesome). Comments turn into Dredd praise. (I saw Dredd. Dredd was good. Why are you comparing Thor to Dredd? And need I remind you, when trailers for Dredd came out, everyone moaned it was a ripoff of The Raid.)

    • giovanni

Great comment, you make the most sense here. Agree with you on all points. Btw kick ass trailer, looking forward to it.

    • Ur mom

Great points, bro. I don’t see a good reason to complain either. I enjoyed the trailer.

    • rich woa

I enjoyed it also, looks like a fun flick.
