4 Clips and 10 Minutes of Behind the Scenes Footage from THOR

With Thor finally arriving in America next weekend (it’s already playing around the world), Paramount/Marvel have released the EPK and included are four clips and ten minutes of behind the scenes footage.  While the clips have all been previously released, this is the first time we have all four in one place.  In addition, if you’re curious what it’s really like on a movie set, the behind the scenes footage is great to watch.  However, if you are trying to avoid spoilers, you might want to check it out after you’ve seen the movie.

As I said when I posted my review/video blog on Thor, I thought the movie was great.  Also, while Thor is not an easy transition from comic books to movie screens, director Kenneth Branagh made it work and I cannot wait to see everyone together in The Avengers next summer.  Hit the jump to watch the clips and look for new interviews next week.  Thor stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Stellan Skarsgard, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Josh Dallas, Tadanobu Asano, Idris Elba, Clark Gregg and Colm Feore.

This film premiered last night in my country, it is beyond awesome!

Just saw THOR in Ireland tonight. Awesome! Better than both Iron Mans!

  • Brandon Avery

Hey, Steve could you tell us if ‘THOR’ it’s better than IRON MAN (2008)?

Though the movies are quite different, I would put them at about the same level. I think Thor, was (surprisingly, for me at least) really good when it could have gone either way. It’s kinda like Iron Man when it was first announced and people were kinda skeptical about how it would turn out, but most people were happy with the result. I was very happy with Thor! I must admit, when I saw the trailer I was thinking “meh,” but they handled it well. :-)

But hey, of course things like this are a matter of personal preference and differing tastes, so its just MY opinion (and also that of many others!) that Thor turned out nicely; if you go to see it when it comes out in the U.S. and if you are dissapointed, well that’s how it is, so please don’t hold it against people like me! ;-) I, however, strongly recommend it.

Just saw a free preview of Thor in America it was so great. I was worried how Thor was going to translate as a movie, but I was happily suprised! It was a great great movie. The best EPIC movie I’ve seen in a long time and it had alot of funny parts too.

Well, I don’t know you guys, but in my opinion the movie is just a bad-terrible film. This is what went wrong with Thor:

    • Bad acting.
    • Simple screenplay.
    • The story takes you nowhere.
    • Lack of (good) action sequences.
    • No real chemistry between any of the characters.
    • Same jokes as always (this might please some lot of people)
    • Costumes look plastic-made.
    • Asgard looks like any scenario from the Star Wars prequels.
    • Thor barely uses Mjolnir’s thunder capabilities.
    • Chris Hemsworth does not fill the character’s profile.
    • Neither Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman or Stellan Skarsgard save the film with their presence.
    • Bad cinematography.

Plus, Hawkeye’s cameo is pointless. He ends up not using his bow and arrow. That’s stupid.

You know, I really enjoyed both Iron Man movies, so if you’re looking a highly entertaining movie, you should skip Thor. Seriously. Any positive comment is probably coming from people who loves movies with visual effects and really poor story.
