Yesterday, we showed you an image of the Hall of Asgard from Kenneth Branagh’s Thor. Tonight, a high-resolution of that image has come online. It’s like the image from yesterday, except the resolution? So much higher. It’s so high that we can give you a clearer image of the supporting characters in the shot.
Hit the jump for high-resolution goodness. Thor hits theaters on May 6, 2011.

Here are a few close-ups of the supporting cast.
First up, here’s Loki (Tom Hiddleston) wearing a ceremonial helmet. Loki is Thor’s adopted brother and the film’s antagonist.

Rene Russo as Frigga, Thor’s step-mother and Queen of Asgard.

Tadanobu Asano as Hogun the Grim, a member of the Warriors Three and one of Thor’s allies.

Josh Dallas as Fandral the Dashing, a member of the Warriors Three and one of Thor’s allies.

The leg of (presumably) Ray Stevenson as Volstagg the Valiant, a member of the Warriors Three and one of Thor’s allies.

Here’s the official synopsis for Thor:
Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, “Thor,” which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

Looks SO cool.
Can't wait to see Volstagg. The combo of Ydgrissil (the Tree of Life) & Kirby spiritual circuitry imagery in the gold-leaf throne patterns is giving me goosebumps.
So long as Chris Hemsworth proves to be a better actor than Dolph Lungren, this thing stands a chance at not being anything NEAR Masters of the you-know-what.
Crossing fingers … getting more excited.
i hate it
This look's like junk, this is one i'll never see
Looks like theres a leg on the left side too!
give me a break.
EPIC FAIL
well it looks exactly like it does in the comic books so obviously you were never gonna like it anyway.
Haters gonna hate. I agree with the first poster about the look suggested by this image. It seems that a lot of people want something dark and more in step with traditional Norse mythology. A trailer and/or test footage will give us a better indicator of what to expect.
Too bad for Kenneth Branagagagagag-gag-again that Freddy Mercury is dead.
Flash! Ahh-ah…
This is already the best marvel comics movie and I havnt even seen it.
Fuck yall, THOR was awesome.
