If you saw Thor, you probably found yourself cranking your head out during the scenes that took place in Odin’s vault in order to get a closer look at what artifacts he may or may not be housing. Well, now Marvel has released some images giving us a closer look at some of the objects housed in the vault. In Steve’s interview with Marvel Entertainment president Kevin Feige, he revealed a couple of the items that were in there and alluded to some others that may be missing. Hit the jump to check out the images.

[Update: Erico from our partners at Omelete has translated the runic alphabet on some of the images. Details below]

VERY cool guys! Hmmm where’s that damn cosmic cube? ;)

    • THORY

The Cosmic Cube is at the end of the credits dude, in the brief case!!!!!

      • Wolstenholme

        Haha, I know man. That’s why I gave a ;). CAN’T WAIT!

  • salfie

I’m a huge Marvel fan and love the shout outs but the only thing that worries me about the Infinity Gauntlet being in the throne room (and a potential mcguffin in a new film) is that it’s basically the ultimate power in the galaxy and can bend space/time/creation/etc. so for Odin to just keep it locked up like a trophy seems, I dunno, careless? But who knows, maybe he has a number of these items and doesn’t necessarily know what they do yet. Loved Thor, can’t wait for Cap in July! WOOT!

    • Ringbearer1420

Maybe he feels no one should have that power and he more trying to keep it safe? It be pretty cool to see Thanos having to storm Asgard.

      • T. Van

Most likely, it doesn’t yet have the true infinity gems in it. It’s definitely a glove/gauntlet, but likely has some untold backstory that’s led to it being in Odin’s vault.

In reference to the “missing” item (which we see in the after-credits scene), I only recently realized that it may play a pivitol role in the Avengers movie. It’s not only about what it can do, but *where* it’s currently located! If you realize where that scene takes place, then you’ll have a sense of the additional heroes that may be in the Avengers movie…

      • SuperSeanski

I heard it was supposed to be in the Captain America movie.

      • SuperSeanski

I mean the “missing item”, not the gauntlet.

      • T. Van

        @ Superseanski
I’ve read the same thing (with Marvel having released a screen shot that supports it)… and it makes sense on a number of different levels.

      • Ryan

They showed a scene from Cap at Comic-Con 2010 that included the Cosmic Cube.

the eternal flame.. that´s where the bangles left it.

    • chris gault

the bangles/eternal flame comment broke something internally i was laughing so hard.

  • Come on Son!!!

    Nerds rejoice….then kill yourself!!!

    • Come on Son!!!

Sorry guys, sometimes the sight of my ridiculously small penis get’s me all worked up. So I take my frustration out on the internet. I really hope you guys understand…if your penis was the size of a thimble, you’d probably be as pointlessly angry as I am. :(

      • Come on Son!!!

Well at least I have a penis….To the imposter who decided to comment on my behalf may find a life outside of your closet. I LOVE THE HATE!!!

      • Come on Son!!!

I remember when I was younger, i asked my mom why my penis was so tiny. She told me it ran in the family. She then pulled down her pants to reveal a penis equally as tiny as mine! We then touched eachother’s tips, and in that same moment, my dad came home. Dad saw what me and mom were doing, so he dropped his pants too. But he didn’t have a tiny, useless dick like Mom and I…he had a Big Pussy! And before I could question Dad’s Big Pussy, he said “This runs in the family too, son!”

      • Come on Son!!!

That’s how I got my screen name, it’s a partial quote from my father. “Come on son…” he says to me one day, “its time to check out our tiny penis and big pussys! Together!!!”

      • Come on Son!!!

        Wow… I’m so schizophrenic. Or whatever. It’s my… oh… I guess everyone already knows.

      • Come on Son!!!

Yeah everybody knows that I have someone who wants to be me. So much for me having a small dick. I know I wouldn’t impersonate someone who had a small dick. Come back with something more original nerd….otherwise get a life then kill yourself!!

      • Come on Son!!!

yea nerd, and while your trying to come up with something original, I’m going to simultaneously fist my mom’s loose butthole while she eat’s my dad’s big pussy as I flick my tiny, worthless pecker back and forth. Sometimes my penis grows up to almost a whole Inch…but 3.5 seconds later some white stuff dribbles out and it goes back to being microscopic. Mom makes me save the white stuff for pancake mix though. Grandmom lovvvvessss pancakes when she comes over for breakfast!

      • Come on Son!!!

Didn’t even chuckle at that last comment….try again.

      • Come on Son!!!

On second thought… *chuckle.* It’s soooo true.

the infinity Gauntlet, leads to A Silver Surfer movie. The Warlock’s Eye lead to the the Inhumans Movie (Which, I think is the lamest Marvel Movie Idea) They should just stay with the superheroes on earth Like Cap, Iron Man, Thor.
Remake Daredevil, Cast the same guy, again (I was more pissed about Jennifer Garner & the park fight. But, hey that’s the writer’ & editor’s fault) Make a Moon Knight tv show, Redo Fantastic Four, but build Doom up for the last one. Redo Ghost Rider, give it a hard R rating. Make Mephisto look like the Devil in End of Days(Big like that) Bring Ed Norton back as Banner. And iin Avengers 2, they should fight Kang or Ultion. Then in the Last one, Fight the Masters Of Evil. Cast Goldberg as Crusher Creel, like they were gonna do for the Ang Lee Hulk. Cast Dolph Lundgren as Cable, Sienna Miller as Domino. Sharon Stone as Silver Sable, Micheal Clark Duncan as Drax the Destroyer, McConaugnhey as Firelord. I was mad that they introduced Frankie Raye aka Nova in FF2. But she doesnt becomes Galactus’ herald.just like the Surfer, n the movie. Oh, yeah Make a Deathlok Movie, starring Fishburne. Then Micheal Jai White as Cage, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Black Panther. Oh, yeah They should do a Midnight Sons Movie

    • Basil

What the heck are you rambling about. Half the ideas you had are for characters whose rights are owned by other studios. Not to mention the terrible casting choices. No one wants to see ivan drago in a marvel movie. On top of that almost all of your ideas un-marketable.

      • Dane

They once said Clint Eastwood could Play Cable. I said Dolph cause he looks like he been though some wars. And he could pull off Cable.

      • Dane

Nobody know about Blade either. But Blade was tight. They can market anything.

    • O.R.

      And then he came.

  • David Scholes

    Very interesting.

In the comics, Odin and indeed all the Earth pantheon gods have been subject to a fairly steady decline in relative power since the fourth Celestial host whipped the All Asgard Destroyer.

The power relativities in the movies to come could possibly be different. Time will tell.

i have NO idea what ANY of these items are….. Collider please explain for those of us who LOVE Thor but have never read any comics….

    • ruidude

Hi Kara, hope this helps you:
The items that have been officially spotted and named are: the Warlock’s Eye and the Orb of Agamotto ; The Eternal Flame and The Twilight Sword ; The Tablet of Life & Time and… The Infinity Gauntlet! Now, if you’ve seen the movie, you must remember that Loki told Heimdall that there were ways to travell between worlds that not even he knew about… well the Orb of Agamotto seems to have the Power to open Dimensional Gates, besides many other utilities! The Eternal Flame and the Twilight Sword used to belong to Surtur, and were taken from him by Odin and his two brothers, who both lost their lives in doing so… the sword, once ignited by the flame will give it’s carrier an enourmous extent of power and in Surtur’s hands it even may surpass Odin’s power! The Warlocks eye seems to be a powerfull mystical object once used to attack Asgard… The Infinity Gauntlet i think doesn’t need explanations… but once someone possesses all the Gem’s that fit the glove… then all hell breaks loose!!! And on the Tablet of Life & Time there was a biochemical formula for a serum, the so-called Lifeline Formula, which could rejuvinate, heal and grant its user the chance to reach the full evolutionary potential of its race turning the user into an immortal near omnipotent being.
I have to say… Great things are coming my frinds…

      • Kara

Yeah it helped me realize that people like you need a life. Good luck trying to find a real relationship….Loser!!

      • Come on Son!!!

^^^ROTFL. I got you sooo good! You probably thought I was the “real” Kara. But, then I realized how small my brain was (almost as big as my limp chode) and noticed that Kara spelled her name with a lower-case K. Whoops. But yeh, I totally got you nerd. You totally need to get a life, unlike me..who has an AWESOME life (and by awesome I mean that my dad makes me blow him, while my mom fucks me in the ass with a strap-on)! Man, I’m sooo cool. Thats why I keep coming back here. To let you losers know how cool I am! I would just tell my friends how cool I am…if I had any.

      • Come on Son!!!

        zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

      • kara

Hey – thanks for that – just checked this now so not sure if you will get this message… ok so I’m assuming these items are used throughout the marvel universe (Thor, Captain America etc) coming up at different times…. However why are they ALL sitting in Asgard? Do they mainly feature in Thor? And who is Surtur? (don’t remember every characters name in Thor ;)

    • Aurora Vampiris

Surtur is a fire demon (sort of the antithesis of the frost giants) who fought Odin a long time ago.

Personally, I think all those things are stuff that’s meant to please the fans. It’s nothing more than fan service. However, their inclusion is interesting. Most of those items are stuff that are related to the Thor comics, but do feature in other comics as well. For instance, the Cosmic Cube (featured after the end credits) is more relevant to The Fantastic Four (and even Captain America) than Thor. Similarly, the Infinity Gauntlet is relevant to Doctor Strange (another Marvel comic character).

But hey, if Odin’s got all of these awesome items, I’m not one to complain.

Ok – helpful :) Thanks. Will be anticipating Captain America :)

I really liked this movie and went to see it in 3d.

Unfortunately Odin’s Eye is missing on the wrong side!

It’s his LEFT eye, mythically and importantly, which is missing; so he can see properly, according to every Nordic legend about him.

So the infinity gauntlet is there as a reference to Thanos and Thor 2. Thanos wants the gauntlet, and as noted by the after credits scene in the Avengers, he is ready to take it.
