Urban posted a photo of his new shaved head-plus-beard combo to Twitter, while thanking Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi for “the haircut.” Alongside fellow newcomers Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster, Urban portrays the villain Skurge. Called “The Executioner” in the comics and typically rendered as a bald-headed man with black, arched tattoos on his head, the half-Frost Giant, half-Skornheimian wields a double-bladed ax.
Given his genes, he’s also a hulking mass of a humanoid, so we’ll see if Urban will, too, bulk up for the role. See his new haircut in the photo below.

Thor: Ragnarok didn’t have a large presence at Comic-Con, though the Marvel booth on the convention floor revealed pieces of gladiator Hulk armor and weapons, teasing some sort of adaptation of the Planet Hulk story line from the comics. Fans in Hall H during the Marvel Studios panel also saw some footage in the form of a Thor spoof in which the Asgardian Avenger attempts to live a normal life with a guy named Darryl.
Actor Daley Pearson posted a photo from the gag on Twitter in which Thor attempts to play Connect Four.

Chris Hemsworth returns to his title role, while Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, and Idris Elba also reprise their parts. Thor: Ragnarok will hit theaters on November 3, 2017, and based on the name will bring about the end of the world.
