Slowly we’re starting to get more news and tidbits from the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok. It’s been a long wait since Thor: The Dark World and Tom Hiddleston’s last appearance as the trickster god Loki, but an image shared by Thor himself (Chris Hemsworth), reveals a lot of interesting things about both the production and the character of Loki in particular.

For one it looks like the duo are back on Earth, and in New York specifically, thanks to a series of set photos taken by the Sydney Morning Herald, which show New York-styled cabs and emergency service vehicles. Chris Hemsworth’s photo (with a very funny caption) also shows the two sitting in front of a newsstand (with American flags), with a lot of potential Easter egg goodies to be found in the newspapers and magazines behind them. It’s also worth noting that Loki is in a black suit that makes him look more like a sleazy nightclub owner than a Norse god. Hemsworth just looks like Hemsworth:

Ragnarok will be helmed by Hunt for the Wilderpeople director Taika Waititi, and also stars Mark Ruffalo in a key role (are we going to Planet Hulk?), as well as Cate Blanchett as the movie’s main antagonist Hela, Karl Urban as bad-guy Skurge, and Tessa Thompson as the heroic Valkyrie. It's currently set for release in November of 2017. Here are another set of photos recently added as well:
