International audiences will have the opportunity to catch Marvel’s upcoming Thor: The Dark World one week early.  It was announced today that director Alan Taylor’s sequel will be digitally remastered for the IMAX format and will be released in international theaters in IMAX 3D on October 30th, one week before the film’s standard domestic release.  Taylor was filming additional scenes for the Marvel pic as recently as last week, so the IMAX conversion will be going down to the wire.  Ender’s Game opens here in the US on November 1st and is already booked for an IMAX release, so there’s no word on when/if Thor 2 will be available in the IMAX format here in the States.
