If you have theories about the percentage of blue/green-screen effects used in Alan Taylor's Thor: The Dark World, you might want to check out this behind-the-scenes look at the film's visual trickery.  It not only includes a look at the pre-viz stage (courtesy of digital effects company, The Third Floor), but more than a few instances of practical effects used in the film.  Taylor also appears to comment on the extensive location shooting in the Marvel sequel along with the effects process.

To create the world of Asgard in Thor: The Dark World, filmmaker Alan Taylor enlisted the help of digital effects company The Third Floor. Using a process called previsualization, The Third Floor created fully rendered low-res CG sets and characters, allowing the director to see, plan out, and experiment with scenes before shooting them.
