The first on-set footage of Orlando Bloom in The Three Musketeers has hit the web, courtesy of ET, and it’s a bit strange. We recently brought you the first high-resolution images from the film, which is helmed by director Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil: Afterlife). Bloom stars alongside Mila Jovovich, Christoph Waltz, Matthew MacFayden, Logan Lerman and Luke Evans. The video, in which Bloom gives his best Jack Sparrow impression (albeit unintentionally), shows the actor filming scenes and features a brief, and very bizarre, interview. The film will be released in 3D on October 14th. Hit the jump to check out the video.

Holy cow, this is the worst promo for the movie. Orlando looks and sounds drunk, and the footage they show is of him tearing stuff up and spitting. Yeesh.
Is he in character or actually drunk? I’m not impressed. In fact, this movie sounds like it’s going to be quite bad.
This is as close to a self parody as I’ve seen on ‘Extras’ where Bloom played upon his sycophantic self. Problem is, I think he is genuinely drunk and annoyed at how bad this film is. I really think this is a personal protest. Let’s not be too harsh on him. If this movie happens to be really bad… and I mean, ‘The Core’ bad….. then let’s at least credit him with a bit of intelligence for letting us know in advance. Don’t get me wrong. I love Dumas. I love the musketeers. I even loved Legolas. But this is not the way to promote a film.
Ever.
Never have I wanted to see a movie less…
Awesome first footage!
