The Thursday TV ratings are finally in and tabulated. Here are some of the highlights:
- Not surprisingly, CBS ruled the night with help from the 8 p.m. NFL game, bringing in 4.0 (roughly 12.2 million viewers) in the key demos, dropping from last week's 5.3.
- ABC's 8 p.m. premiere of Grey's Anatomy drew in some 9.45 million viewers, scoring a 2.8 in the demo, which is slightly down from last season's premiere, which came in with a 3.1.
- NBC's premieres did not fare all that much better, but then, they didn't have the built-in fanbase. One could argue that Heroes Reborn, which brought in a little over 6 million viewers with it's two-hour premiere at 8 p.m., had a bit of a fanbase, but Heroes went out with some of its weakest numbers, so I'm not inclined to agree. Nevertheless, the new series garnered a 1.9 in the demo, while the Wesley Snipes-led action-drama The Player scored a 1.2, with 4.85 million viewers, at 10 p.m.
