The Thursday TV ratings for March 19th are in; here are some of the highlights:

  • On ABC, Grey's Anatomy at 8 p.m. matched its series low with a 2.1 in the key 18-49 demographic, and 7.8 million overall viewers. Scandal, at 9 p.m. didn't fare much better -- Lena Dunham's appearance on the show also didn't give it any kind of boost, as it scored its season low with a 2.4 rating and 7.96 million viewers (down 11 percent from last week).
  • CBS's broadcast of NCAA basketball from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. notched a preliminary 2.0 rating and 6.53 million viewers (this will likely adjust, but so far it's up 74 percent from last year).
  • On NBC, Dateline: The Real Blacklist at 8 p.m. was up 33 percent from last week's special, notching a 1.2 rating and 6.38 million viewers, which may have bolstered The Blacklist's 6 percent tick up at 9 p.m. to a 1.8 rating and 8.37 million viewers.
  • At 10 p.m. on ABC, American Crime continues to sink to a 1.2 rating and 5.68 million viewers (a 14 percent drop), but it still beat NBC's The Slap in the same time slot, which pulled a 0.7 rating and 3.44 million viewers (up, surprisingly, 17 percent from last week).
  • The CW's Vampire Diaries at 8 p.m. saw significant gains of 17 percent to a 0.7 and 1.56 million viewers, while Reign at 9 p.m. stayed steady at 0.4 and 1.09 million viewers.
