Currently the hilarious workplace comedy Workaholics on Comedy Central is in the middle of their third season, and this season’s guest stars have been pretty interesting with Rumer Willis and the band The Black Keys showing up (not to mention what might be the cameo of the year from All That cast member Lori Beth Denberg). Now another familiar face to TV is heading to the series as EW reports Tim Heidecker, fresh off Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie, has landed a guest spot. So who will he play?

The role sounds about as outrageous as you would expect with Heidecker playing the leader of a group called The Lord’s Force, which series creator, writer and star Adam DeVine describes as “a religious group of weight lifters that use the power of the Lord to break baseball bats over their knees.” Apparently Adam, Ders and Blake welcome some of these guys into their casa and that’s when the fun begins. The episode airs July 10th, so don’t miss it.  For news on Ray Romano snagging a few episodes of the fourth season of Parenthood, hit the jump.

NBC has just sent out a press release saying sitcom star Ray Romano has landed a multi-episode arc on Parenthood. In the fourth season, Romano will play a photographer and former photo journalist (I wouldn't be surprised if it had to do with sports, since most of his character's have that trait) who befriends Sarah (Lauren Graham) and complicates her relationship with Mark (Jason Ritter). He’ll join pretty early on too as his character will be introduced in the season premiere this fall on September 11th at 10/9c.

Romano never really caught my eye with his popular sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, but his work on Men of a Certain Age on TNT, an underrated show that didn’t deserve to be cancelled last year, really made me like the guy. Here’s hoping he gets his own show with that kind of caliber after this turn on Parenthood. Check out the full press release below.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – June 19, 2012 – Emmy®-winning actor Ray Romano (“Everybody Loves Raymond”) is set to guest star on the upcoming season of NBC’s critically acclaimed series, “Parenthood,” which returns for its fourth season Tuesday, September 11 (10-11 p.m. ET). In a multi-episode arc, Romano will play a photographer and former photo journalist who befriends Sarah (Lauren Graham) and complicates her relationship with Mark (Jason Ritter); his character will be introduced in the season premiere.

"Parenthood" is a one-hour drama inspired by the box-office hit of the same name. This re-imagined and updated Universal Television/Imagine Television production follows the trials and tribulations of the very large, very colorful and imperfect Braverman family. Nelson.

Romano recently starred in the Peabody-winning drama “Men of a Certain Age” on TNT.

Serving as executive producers are Oscar winners Ron Howard and Brian Grazer ("A Beautiful Mind," "Frost/Nixon"), Jason Katims ("Friday Night Lights") and Lawrence Trilling ("Pushing Daisies").
