If you subscribe to Time Warner Cable for all your television needs, you may find only static on all Fox channels in a couple weeks. Contracts between Fox television stations and Time Warner Cable expire on December 31st, and both parties have reached a standstill in negotiations for a new contract. If no deal is made by January 1st, Time Warner Cable will no longer carry such channels as Fox, Fox News, Fox Sports Net, and FX in over 13 million households (that’s 30 million people).
The chances of this actually happening are very slim. You may recall similar posturing about this time last year, when there was an analogous standoff between Time Warner Cable and Viacom that fizzled in the eleventh hour, and most viewers continued to watch Viacom channels none the wiser. My favorite part of the story is Fox’s attempt at a grassroots campaign to get Time Warner Cable to play nice: keepfoxon.com is a flashy website that informs the viewers of the basics of the situation and tries to stir customers to action to keep Fox programming on the air.

I thought to myself when fox news was talking about it on tv why didn’t they just tell everyone why the two companies can not reach an agreement, could it be because they had something to hide that would look bad for Fox (probebly). They usually dell out all the details on all the other news stories. With the same token I went to Time Warner’s web site to get information and couldn’t find anything there iether. I am a man of principle and if what you say is true then go Time Warner. My life does not revolve around certain TV shows. You don’t need Glen Beck or O’Reily to see what is happening to our country.

The fox network should be paying Time Warner. Time Warner gives Fox the abillaty to reach 13 million viewers with their commercials witch in turn brings Fox alot of money.

To James and Tim… By the way you are talking one may think that you work for Time Warner or Obama for that matter…. Nice Spelling by the way James. Anyway I could care less about the political views of the programming because it is ultimately the opinion of the viewer that will decide in their own status of politics not television programming. My main concern is that fox carries the NFL and other various sport events. One of the few things I truly enjoy on my time of is watching the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. If Time warner gets rid of this programming then the aren’t supplying the consumer with what they want and no matter what network negotiations that occuer in the future you will continue to have higher prices as time goes on that is inflation at work and more so to way Obama is bailing everyone out and turning this country into a socialist republic.

I actually love my Time Warner account! And for your Information, Hitler was a master at his craft. Nobody could command troops and rally people like Hitler. So what if he killed a massive amount people for being ignorant. Is that what we should really judge people for? Plus about the whole Time Warner dropping Fox Network, who cares! Its not like there is really anything programs on the Fox Network worth watching. Just go outside for a chance or read a book! I would rather spend my time watching and playing with my cats or sitting on the couch with a good Jane Austen book for the night then watch violence in movies and sex on t.v.
