THR reports that Fey is in negotiations to join This Is Where I Leave You, a comedy that centers on a man (Bateman) whose father dies and leaves the last request that his dysfunctional family spend the next seven days together under the same roof. Fey would play Bateman’s older sister, a married woman whose first love has suffered brain damage. Currently shooting The Muppets…Again! in Europe, Fey would transition to the Levy film after wrapping on the sequel. Production on This Is Where I Leave You is looking to start in June, though Bateman is still reading actresses for the romantic lead. Those tested include Ari Graynor, Isla Fisher, Zoe Saldana and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. The role of Bateman’s sister-in-law is leaning towards Kathryn Hahn.
Deadline reports that Good and Baker will join the Anchorman sequel. Good will play Ron Burgundy’s (Ferrell) boss in the picture but Baker’s role was not revealed. The plot of the sequel appears to have Ron and the gang heading to New York City. The picture recently added Kristen Wiig and James Marsden and there are rumors of an appearance by John C. Reilly. Anchorman: The Legend Continues opens December 20th this year.
