The previously released teaser trailer for Ben Wheatley's High-Rise was set to the pleasing and charismatic narration of Dr. Robert Laing (Tom Hiddleston) inviting us to join him in a new luxury apartment complex. It played out like a promotional piece that advertised all the amenities present in the ultra-modern building before hinting at the conflicts that simmered beneath the otherwise pristine surface. As a new U.K. trailer reveals, the foundation of the entire structure - and by extension the social hierarchy of the people living within it - is starting to show its cracks.

It's a much more traditional trailer for a much less traditional film. Based on J.G. Ballard's novel "High Rise", Wheatley's adaptation explores class warfare in a literal sense as violence erupts within the tower of concrete and steel. The ideal utopian society soon degrades into a primal state where the law of the jungle prevails, but at least it does so in style. The film also stars Jeremy Irons, Sienna MillerElisabeth Moss, and James Purefoy and opens in the U.K. on March 18, 2016. Currently, there is U.S. release date.
