Tons of Images and Video from the STREET FIGHTER IV Release Party

     February 13, 2009

Written by Steve ‘Frosty’ Weintraub

Last night in downtown Los Angeles was the “Street Fighter IV” video game release party. However, with the upcoming “Street Fighter” movie set to hit theaters at the end of the month, and 2009 being the 20th Anniversary of the franchise, last night was a lot more than a release party.

That’s because 20th Century Fox brought in most of the cast of the movie and the party was open to anyone who had RSVP in advance. So unlike some parties that are stiff and full of industry types, many of the folks inside were die-hard fanboys that couldn’t wait to play the game.

And if you were one of the few that got in, you were able to walk around and see tons of famous faces and they were all playing the game and having fun. It was actually a lot better of a night than I expected.

But since most of you weren’t there….I’ve got a ton of images of some of the celebrities as well as photos of the entire event. But rather than keeping it just images, thanks to my good friend Chris who followed me around with the Collider camera, up first is a 5 minute video of me showing you all around the event before it had opened to the public. And if you stick with it till the end…you’ll see a short conversation with Kevin Kelly who does the GeekBomb on Slashfilm. Hope you like it…
