Last Friday’s Disney/Pixar panel at Comic-Con may not have featured any actual footage from the studios much-anticipated “Toy Story 3D” but it DID feature some newly rendered 3D scenes from “Toy Story 2″ – which is almost as good. Hard-core Pixar fans will recall that the studio has re-jiggered both of their iconic “Toy Story” features for 3D screens as part of the promotion for the release of “Toy Story 3D” in June 2010. The big news is that BOTH movies, in their new and improved 3D versions, will be in theatres on a double bill for two weeks only beginning October 2nd. The good folks at Pixar have just released a teaser trailer to promote this incredible event and it’s after the jump…

I am so excited. About a year or so ago I was thinking of re-watching these films by renting them. Then news came a day later they were IMAX bound in late 09 and early 2010. So I held off. I haven’t seen either in ten years now, except for occasional snippets on TV. Can’t wait for the 3D versions and I’m 21!
