If you've ever sat on your bedroom floor, smashing your Toy Story figures together and feeling frustrated because they simply wouldn't stack properly to form a giant fighting robot, well boy do we have a surprise for you! A new toy series from Bandai, made available on North American shores thanks to their distributor Bluefin, not only features such beloved characters as Woody, Buzz, Slinky Dog, Hamm, and Rex, they're actually designed to transform into a series of giant robots.
True, you may never have conceived of this idea in your wildest imaginings, but the complex design of the Chogokin series of toys is actually quite impressive. "Chogokin Toy Story Combination Woody Robo Sheriff Star" combines Woody, Bullseye, Slinky Dog, Hamm and Rex, while "Chogokin Toy Story Combination Buzz the Space Ranger Robo" forms up from Buzz Lightyear, two Three-Eyed Aliens, a Space Shuttle, and Big One Rocket. The two transforming-robot sets, due out later this year and early next year respectively, can combine yet again to form a larger super-robot standing over a foot tall. They'll be available from authorized Bluefin retailers nationwide and also from a variety of leading online outlets; pre-orders for both units are available now.
