I had the privileged of living in New York City for eight months during my years in college. If I had to go back and do college all over again, I would apply early decision to New York University’s dramatic writing program and even if no one wanted to hear my screenplay about quadriplegics learning to juggle (it’s uplifting, fuckers), I’d still be living in a fantastic city. I’m jealous of all my friends that live there and in my wildest dreams, I hope to join them. Meanwhile, I’ll keep holding out for the half-hour “Atlanta, You’re Alright” where we celebrate The Coca-Cola Museum, The Atlanta Braves, and the airport.

Following on the cooly-received “Paris, je t’aime”, “New York, I Love You” will follow 12 separate segments by 12 different directors featuring a slew of talented actors. Unifying these stories is the city of New York and it seems that the big challenge will be trying to take a fresh look at one of the most recognizable cities in the world. You can check out the trailer below which helpfully informs us that the film is in post-production. New York, I Love You” is set to open on February 13, 2009.
